"In September of 2017, Angela and her family began an amazing faith journey when she was diagnosed with terminal stage IV colon cancer. She began her battle with cancer on September 21, 2017, with her first chemo infusion. This book, though, is not about her cancer and the battle with it. It’s about the remarkable faith of a remarkable woman. Many who knew Angela or met her during her cancer journey simply couldn’t believe this vibrant and passionate woman was dying of cancer. She endured 113 doctor appointments, 63 rounds of chemo, 25 CT scans, six hospitalizations, and 10 medical procedures or surgeries. This was a long, invasive and difficult three years, but Angela was always steadfast in her faith. She knew where she was going. From the moment she was diagnosed, she never said she was afraid to die, not even toward the end when death was near, and pain was all too real. She fought hard to stay with her family because she knew they would suffer after she was gone even though she knew she would be pain free in heaven. She finished her life trusting in God, believing in the promise of Jesus Christ, and setting an example for all of us to live by faith so we will all be reunited in Heaven someday. This book is Angela’s story of faith in her words."

  • Proceeds go towards the Angela Wheatley Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Fund at Bishop Lynch High School.  Catholic education was extremely important to Angela, and this scholarship fund helps provide access to current parochial school families who may not otherwise apply to a Catholic high school due to the higher costs of secondary Catholic education. This fund's purpose will help families bridge the gap between elementary and secondary Catholic school tuition.
  • Thank you for continuing Angela’s beautiful legacy and helping future generations of families attend Bishop Lynch. God bless.
